Bayshore Sportfishing is proud to offer what many consider the most outstanding saltwater fishing on the Texas Gulf Coast. We are located in the small mid-coast fishing village of Port O'Connor, a couple of hours south of Houston, where great fishing is always just a stone's throw away.

Have fun fishing the inshore flats and reefs of West Matagorda, Espiritu Santo and San Antonio Bays as well as the nearshore jetties and rigs of the Gulf of Mexico. Our Mercury-powered Fishmaster 2350 will insure that you enjoy a clean, dry, and comfortable ride to and from the fish. Whether you prefer artificial, live bait, or fly fishing, we can custom tailor a fantastic trip for you. This is pure fishing and fun!

The fertile waters of the area are teeming with Texas-sized fish of all varieties. Inshore the catch tends to be speckled trout, redfish, and flounder, and in the offshore/nearshore waters, snapper, kingfish, dolphin, and ling are the catches of the day. Check out the regularly updated fishing report to see what we're catching right now!

Don't have a fishing rod? Don't worry! We provide quality rods and reels from All Star Rods, Shimano, and Van Staal, as well as proven tackle from Saltwater Assassin, Lone Star and Stamina. And if you have your own equipment and would prefer to use it, you are more than welcome to do so.

Captain Leonard "Mac" MacPheters is a US Coast Guard certified and TPWD licensed captain with over 35 years' of fishing experience on the saltwater of the Texas Gulf Coast. His extensive knowledge of the locale and attention to detail will insure that your trip will be an unforgettable one.

Quiet, comfortable lodging is available and we can arrange corporate trips, too. We welcome beginner and experienced anglers, as well as anglers of all ages. We even have gift certificates available which make a perfect Christmas or birthday gift for the angler in your family. But remember, holidays and weekends book quickly, so make your reservations now!
