windy... but that is good because everything is wet..wet..wet.. it finally quit raining.. water temp 64-65 thurs coming up to around 70 sunday.. the warm nights are keeping the temperature up.. thurs and fri fished with shrimp under a poppin' cork.. with good results.. trout ran on the small side..15 1/2 to 19 but ended with limits.. several rat reds.. and small flounder.. fresh water is everywhere.. at least 1-..1/2 feet in depth.. we used a pipe to try to get some salt water sunday for the shrimp.. in the icww we went 2-1/2 feet... all fresh.. tidal currents have been very strong.. and unpredictable.. also used soft plastic with the glo/chart working the best.. sat and sunday slowed down a bit ..although we caught 75-100 fish each day most were 14-1/2 to 14 3/4.. sat kept 14// sunday 9... birds were working.. small trout and sand trout under the birds for the most part.. we were trying to juice the shrimp with oxy because the fresh water was killing them.. they still only lived approx a half a day.. but they were lively.. over the 4 days we caught approx 20 reds.. mostly small.. should have a front in here tonite... see you on the water.. capt mac
