wild and wooley long holiday weekend.. weather great.. some cloud cover.. light breezes picked up in the pm to 15-18... water temp 85-86 if you were where the current was fairly strong.. surf active trout were small.. (up to 18-19).. with throw backs outnumbering keepers 3-4-to 1.. few reds in the surf..keepers along with oversized ones.. water was off color most of the time due to the NE winds.. it would clear briefly then cloud up again.. tons of bait everywhere... topwaters slow to middlein' in the early am... soft plastics ok.. should get back to normal by wed. if this low pressure stays away.. reds were against the bank in w. matagorda bay.. some trout on the n-s shorelines..
