water temp 86-87..water clearing.. wind moderate..more sun than clouds.. rain seems to have passed north of us for the most part... had one day of good rain which we needed.. artificals have been spotty.. here today gone tomorrow.. live bait has been producing best.. croaker bite has been early with miday slow.. reds and trout pick up in the pm.. sunday we had a non stop red bite from 1 to about 3:15... lots of reds 20-21 and the largest was a 39" red 25#...... caught by a gent on his first ever bay trip... it was his first red.. .. ran out of bait (shrimp) so we called it a day... shrimp under a poppin' cork most effective bait of the week... looks like fall fishing will be great!!! sat had 10 trout.. nothing large...20" was the largest.. all on artificials.. tough going.. early bite... shut down at 9:30am thurs worked on the 2nd rental cabin... should be ready soon...
