been real hot.. early am has been good for topwaters..don't expect to find the fish in the same place day after day... they are moving..check the bait//dropoffs/sand bars near deep water... if the wind gets up and the water roughs up..strap on a larger/noiser topwater...water temp 85-86.. as the topwater slows about mid am i go to soft plastics..working them very slowly and in some cases just draging them accross the bottom..digging up a little sand.. a lot of bites will just feel like your line is heavy...some of your topwater bites will be as if the fish just came up behind your lure and sucked it down....(which he did).. no big splash until she realizes she is hooked.... glo/chart... bone...black/chart..black/silver..chart/gold..purple/white..pumpkinseed/chart.. silver...gold spoons... you should find that all of these should produce for you.... of course there is croaker and shrimp.. not enough time in a day to try them all... pick one and go fishing.. 'till next time.. oh bye the bye....kings have been caught very close to shore...captmac
