Report

looks like my previous report got lost in cyber space..it is just gone... suffice to say that rain played havoc with my schedule.. and a few fish were caught.. 7/2 got in a 1/2 day (about mid day).. not a lot of keepers but we managed to box 10 on shrimp under a poppin cork..7/3..had a off shore trip canceled... the young lady found out she was with child and was being cautious..we will do it again... 7/4... stayed off the water and let the holiday people have it.. us coast guard and tp&w.. were out in force.. it was crazy on the water..., 7/5..had a young couple who were fishing (drifting) salt water for the first time...shrimp under a poppin cork.. the bite was a lot stronger in the am.. we started at 6am.. this was a car trip only (catch and release)... on the first cast out of the box we had a double hookup!! this is a very competitive husband/wife team.. 1 trout , one 17" pompano.. almost changed our minds about the CAR.. but we stuck to our game plan.. water was sandy....84 deg. sun.. behind clouds early.. back to fishing.. back and forth... back and forth... with the good natured barbs in between.... when all was said and done the count was 13-to 13.... a tie... have to come back to do a plaoff.. was a fun time... 7/6 two waders... artificials only.. again a CAR... morning bite was weak.. slapping at topwaters.. water again sandy.. not much movement.. water temp 86.. caught 7 trout on spoons ,till we got run off by thunderbumpers.. at about 1:00.. take a day off and back at them.. capt mac
