wind has layed again.... fishing (drifting with live bait) weather turned out great and the fish were cooperating in the early am... by 9am we had 10 + trout in the box with the largest being 22... the rest of the day we had to work harder for our fish.. by quiting time we had 19 in the box.. not too bad considering the last week or so... shrimp under a poppin' cork...fishing the s shore of espirit tu santos bay as well as the s shore of w matagorda bay.... water clairity good ... water temp 78-79... would have made a pretty post card... 5/4.. part of a 5 boat trip.. things were a little slow for us.. no water movement... only had 8 for a party of 2...but some of the others made up for it... again fishing south... 5/5... weather again great...although around 11am the wind picked up some... again the early bite was the best... boxed 8 trout by 7am and were well on our way.. started to get warm around 11.30 am... we had 13 trout in the box (largest 22 1/2 and only 2 less than 19...) good quality fish...(party of 2).. also had 1 sheephead of about 6 lbs.... party decided they had enough fish and would leave some for others.. again fishing south.. water temp 80..water clairty good.. hopfully our winds will stay down in the normal range..
